    When a defect appears, changing several settings at once usually creates more confusion. For ghosting, first secure the transfer and slow the opening and unloading motion. Then check platen alignment, pressure distribution, fabric movement, and moisture. For bleeding, begin with ink density and drying, then review temperature, dwell time, pressure, and the substrate lot.

    Keep the final artwork, target paper, ink, and substrate together during validation. A test made with substitute fabric is only a partial test.
